‘Made me puke’ Meghan and Prince Harry slammed by Piers for creating 'rival Royal Family'

Piers Morgan has spoken out against Meghan Markle and Prince Harry once again in a new column criticising the pair. This time, the outspoken presenter has hit out at them for trying to create what he calls an “alternative Royal Family”.

Harry and Meghan made a rare public appearance together in New York City over the weekend.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in the city to attend the Global Citizen Live concert.

They appeared at the charity event in Central Park to encourage vaccine distribution for protection against Covid-19.

However, outspoken former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers has hit out against their appearance.

“And they’re being enabled in this delusion by the likes of New York mayor Bill de Blasio and the United Nations who treated them like world leaders in the past week.”

Harry and Meghan took to the stage over the weekend hand in hand.

Appearing in front of the crowd at the Global Citizen Concert, they made an impassioned plea for vaccines.

Prince Harry began by saying: “Are we prepared to do what is necessary to end this pandemic?”

Meghan then added: “There is so much that we can do today, now that can get us closer to ending this pandemic and that’s why we’re all here.”

“We’re battling more than the virus alone. This is a battle of misinformation, bureaucracy, lack of transparency,” Prince Harry continued.

Elsewhere, the couple had been spotted in the city visiting businesses and influential figures.

They went to Melba’s in Harlem where they reportedly gave $25,000 (£18,200) to their employee relief fund.

They also visited the 9/11 Memorial and young students at PS 123 in Harlem.

While Piers was critical of their actions, many have praised the couple’s generosity.

This includes Melba’s owner, Melba Wilson, who tweeted: “It was such an honor to officially welcome Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Melba’s!

“I am so thankful for their commitment to donate $25k and hope to welcome them back soon. Thank you for dining with us! #sweetpotatopiehugs.”
