Katya Jones receives apology from Strictly colleague as she's left with 'lump on her head'

The pair received a combined score of 30 on Saturday night for their debut dance, which means they are currently tied for second place on the leaderboard.

John Whaite and Johannes Radebe gave a commanding and passionate performance as the first same-sex male couple on the show and recieved an identical score of 30.

Both pairs received sevens from judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse, while Shirley Ballas and Anton du Beke awarded them with more generous eights.

In the lead with 34 points from Saturday night are TV presenter AJ Odudu and newbie professional dancer Kai Widdrington, after they stunned the judges with their highly-energetic Jive to Gold Dust by DJ Fresh.

Next week, the Strictly couples will dance again, and their scores will be added to the ones they received last Saturday night.

However, one star who won’t be competing is McFly’s Tom Fletcher, who has tested positive for Covid alongside dance partner Amy Dowden, meaning that they will both have to miss next week’s live show.
