On today’s episode of The View, contributor Ana Navarro had some words for Donald Trump Jr. after he made a dig about obesity at her expense.
The media personality tested positive for COVID-19 alongside co-host Sunny Hostin while filming Friday’s episode of the ABC talk show — moments before Vice President Kamala Harris was supposed to arrive for her first in-studio interview since taking office. Navarro and Hostin have since learned through a series of subsequent tests that the results were false positives.
However, at the time of Navarro’s initial diagnosis, the former first son tweeted, “Given the Ana Navarro news, I think it’s time for a national conversation about the dangers of Covid-19 & obesity.”
Navarro directly addressed Trump Jr.’s comments on today’s episode of The View, telling him, “You are a dimwit with no skill or talent, or significant accomplishes, living off your father’s name and fame and fortune.”
“You could have had [that conversation] last October, when your elderly, obese father had COVID,” she continued. “Imagine having a father whose butt is the size of a studio apartment in New Jersey!”
Co-host Joy Behar chimed in, adding, “Donald Jr. is the biggest loser in this country besides his father and his family.”
“At least I’m not orange or twice-impeached,” Navarro replied.
She previously hit back at Trump Jr. on Twitter last Saturday, writing, “@DonaldJTrumpJr, thanks for your concern. I don’t have COVID. Fortunately for you, if you want to have a conversation about the effects of obesity on people with COVID, your dad is a phone call away…assuming he answers your calls. Or just ask your sister to call him for you.”
