Violent vaccine protest in Australia sees angry mob chase off police – WATCH

Angry demonstrations have erupted in Australia over a state mandate calling for all constrictions workers in the state of Victoria to be vaccinated against Coronavirus. Officials in Melbourne have closed all construction sites in order to encourage workers to get the Covid jab. However, anger at the move has led construction workers to take to the streets of the city in a running battle with Australian police.

Footage filmed in downtown Melbourne has captured the moment cop cars were forced to retreat as they came under a hail of missiles from anti-vaccine protestors.

To the shock of onlookers, the mob of construction workers in hard hats and high vis jackets chase the police cruisers down a busy thorough far.

The man behind the camera can be heard saying: “They are throwing s**t at the coppers.

“Look at that!”

“Get ’em! wow,” he continues.

“What the hell man!”

As the police moved back the demonstrators rushed forward and begin hitting vehicles and attempting to smash windscreens.

Eventually, officers in riot gear began firing rubber bullets and forced the mob back up the street.

“I know it is difficult when there are lockdown restrictions that have been put in place. These are measures that we have seen in other states,” he added.

“I can understand that people would be concerned about the shutdown of the construction industry.

“These are important jobs and they will return, we will get through this.”

Melbourne has held six lockdowns since the pandemic first emerged in March 2020.
