Robert Fyfe dead: Last of the Summer Wine actor who played Howard for 25 years dies at 90

Fans of Last of the Summer Wine previously mourned the death of Jean Fergusson.

The actress, who played Robert’s on-screen love interest Marina, died at home in 2019 aged 74.

Fans took to Twitter to pay tribute to Robert, with Jacquel10479935 saying: “RIP Howard. So sad to hear the great Robert Fyfe has died.”

yarkshiregamer added: “Sad news Robert Fyfe the actor who played Howard in The Last of the Summer Wine has passed away aged 90. I love this program, its gentle humour is somehow calming, a reminder of days gone by. I hope I end my days sliding down a hill in t’dales in a bathtub with my mates.”
