Apex Legends update: September 22 patch will solve Season 10 server issues

Developers Respawn Entertainment believes that the next Apex Legends update will solve all the existing server issues currently affecting gamers.

Problems started last week after a patch released the Evolution Collection event, complete with special map takeover, skins and balance changes.

But hidden within the new patch was a problem that would cause players to disconnect from servers and run into more connectivity issues than usual.

The good news is that many of these have been squashed, and more players can play stable games again.

However, the end of all of these issues is expected to happen with the launch of the next major Apex Legends update.

Respawn has confirmed that this patch will be released on September 23, and it appears it will need to be downloaded and installed.

Some hotfixes can be deployed without needing to make further changes to the game on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The latest on the Season 10 issues were rounded up by Respawn in this message to fans today:

“We’re still continuing to work through issues causing higher-than-normal crashes, and we have hope that our patch scheduled for Wednesday will help.

“But with today’s patch, we’re making progress. From all of us on the dev team: We deeply appreciate your patience with us.”

No scheduled release time has been announced for when the new patch will go live but it’s expected to go live before 7pm BST in the UK.

For those affected by this month’s server bug, there will still be time to fully enjoy the Evolution event before it ends.

According to Respawn, the Collection event is still scheduled to finish on September 28, even after issues left many players unable to enjoy it.

A short breakdown of what’s included until September 28 can be found below, courtesy of Respawn:

“Welcome to the Evolution Collection Event. Unlock event-limited cosmetics for Wraith, Octane, Pathfinder, Fuse, Bangalore, Rampart, and Lifeline that give a glimpse into what our Legends could become with time and technology on their side.

“Meanwhile, our resident modder is showing those plonkers who are in charge with the Rampart Town Takeover, Big Maude. Check out her mobile shop, parked between Lava City and the Geyser. It’s sure to be a popular POI for the rest of Emergence.

“While the brick-and-mortar location might be in Battle Royale, Rampart’s bringing her entrepreneurship into the Arenas too in “Rampart’s Arenas Extravaganza,” with special discounts meant to inspire players to change up their usual loadouts.

“For all of her hard work, Rampart’s getting a “Problem Solver:” a brand-new Heirloom pipe wrench, complete with a gumball dispenser. Who could ask for anything more? Oh, well – how about an upgrade to Sheila?”
