The FCC received complaints about performances from Normani, Teyana Taylor and Madonna following last week’s MTV Video Music Awards from New York City’s Barclays Center.

In the outing, Normani, 25, donned a metallic ensemble and was later joined by Taylor, 30, who emerged on a cross-like structure ahead of an intimate duet. 

According to complaints reviewed by TMZ, a viewer from Kansas said they were offended by Normani and Taylor’s outing for Normani’s single Wild Side.

A viewer from Kansas complained about the performers’ behavior in the outing, which included kissing and lap dancing.

‘This programming was on at 9 p.m., our children were with us watching TV,’ the viewer said. ‘We had to make them leave the room during this porno ceremony.’

A person from Tennessee said that the performance ‘this was so extreme and should NEVER have been allowed to be on any TV show.’

They said that the inappropriate portion saw Normani ‘move upward until she was able to stick her crotch directly in [Taylor’s] face and on the girls lips exhibiting oral sex.’

In regards to Madonna's performance, a complaint from Illinois said that Madonna's wardrobe was too risqué, noting that MTV failed to issue warnings in regards to the content of the award show

A complaint out of Weatherford, Texas said that Normani’s outing put a glamorous spin on sexual assault, according to the outlet.

A viewer from Michigan said they ‘had to keep changing the channels so my 12-year-old son wouldn’t watch that.’

In regards to Madonna’s performance, a complaint from Illinois said that Madonna’s wardrobe was too risqué and that she appeared to be drinking, noting that MTV failed to issue warnings in regards to the content of the award show.

According to the outlet, a St. Louis-based viewer asked for a $1 million ruling after taking offense to Lil Nas X ‘rooting for his “gay agenda” after his act.’
