Alex Beresford speaks out after sparking GMB exit rumours amid Piers Morgan's award win

Alex Beresford, 40, sparked rumours amongst his social media followers after sharing a cryptic farewell tweet last night. The Good Morning Britain presenter tweeted “ok bye”, followed by a waving hand emoji, leaving fans confused.

His tweet came after former GMB colleague Piers Morgan was announced as the winner of the Best News Presenter award at the TRIC Awards in London.

The pair had an on-air disagreement over Meghan Markle’s landmark interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

During the infamous feud, Piers walked off the set, before taking the decision to leave the show.

Alex’s cryptic tweet, shared with his 249,000 followers, reignited rumours he too could be exiting the show soon.
