BT and Virgin Media broadband eclipsed, but these huge money-saving deals end tomorrow

BT and Virgin Media are slowly rolling out much faster broadband speeds across the UK, with millions of homes now able to connect to ultrafast 1Gbps downloads. This ultimate connection is over 10 times faster than the UK average and offers users the chance to download a full HD blockbuster in under 40 seconds which is mightily impressive.

Having a 1Gbps connection will certainly boost your next boxset binge but this technology is not exactly cheap with both BT and Virgin charging around £60 per month to have those blisteringly quick speeds beamed into your living room.

If that simply sounds like too much for your bank account to handle then don’t fret as one rival is offering very fast broadband for a much lower price.

Right now, those signing up for a package from Community Fibre can get money off a range of its plans including 150Mbps speeds for just £20 per month or 1Gbps for £39. There’s also free installation and the monthly price will last throughout your 24-month contract (something that BT doesn’t promise, with annual price rises to be expected for all customers).

The only thing to be aware of is that Community Fibre only supplies areas in London and the deals all end tomorrow, September 16.

It’s worth noting that Community Fibre isn’t the only firm offering cheaper deals on fast broadband with Hyperoptic also slashing the cost of its fibre plans in a big Flash Sale. That means you can get 50Mbps downloads for just £15 per month or 1Gbps for a very reasonable £35.

Again, there’s no upfront fee to pay and the offer lasts for 24-months before prices will then go up to the standard fee.

One final deal that’s worth a mention comes from Three Mobile with the UK network currently offering broadband at its lowest ever price.

There are two plans available including the firm’s 4G Hub for £14 per month or the 5G Hub for £22. Both of these services use Three’s data network to beam the web into homes so, if you’re tempted by these deals, it’s worth checking to see how good the signal is before signing on the dotted line.

Three’s 5G broadband is capable of blistering speeds that can put fixed-line broadband to shame but this next generation signal is not available across the whole of UK.
