iPhone 13 release: What time does Apple event start, how to watch live online

It’s a huge day for iPhone fans, with the next-generation of the best-selling smartphone due to be announced within hours. Apple’s splashy September launch event will being held today (Tuesday September 14), with the invite confirming the name of the event as “California Streaming”. Unfortunately, while that tagline doesn’t give much away, the iPhone 13 is widely tipped to be the headline announcement.

iPhone 13 event – How do you live stream the Apple September 2021 event?

In the past, if you want to tune in to an Apple event live then you needed to be running the iPhone maker’s own Safari browser to watch all the action unfold live.

This has, thankfully, changed though with Apple events easier to watch live than ever before. You can either head to this page on the Apple website to watch the iPhone 13 reveal, or simply head to YouTube.

iPhone 13 event – What announcements are expected at the Apple September 2021 event?

It’s believed four different iPhone models will get announced today – the iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

The more premium iPhone 13 modes are expected to have at least one distinguishing feature, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate on the display for the first time.

Elsewhere, the release date for iOS 15 could get announced alongside a host of other Apple devices.

The Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3 could get unveiled, while there’s also murmurs we could see the Watch SE 2 and the iPad mini 6 get announced.

Release dates for other software upgrades, such as iPadOS 15, watchOS 8 and the new versions of macOS and tvOS could also get confirmed.
