‘All sorts of worries’ Emma Willis details family concerns amid plans to turn down TV role

Although Matt shared his excitement to take on the role in the hit musical, he admitted his family had some reservations about how long he would be away for.

The Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Virgin Radio hosts Sam Pinkham and Gaby Roslin, who were filling in for Chris during his holidays, quizzed Matt on how much time he’ll have to spend away from home and his loved ones during the show’s run.

“You’re going everywhere!” Gabby exclaimed.

Matt then sheepishly admitted: “Yeah, much to my family’s dismay!”

The star added: “To be honest, it was third lockdown when it came through and I was like, ‘Yes sign me up! How long? Yep, sign me up’.

“And then suddenly, it’s dawning on me how long I’m going to be away for.”
