Texans vs. Jaguars prediction, line: Trevor Lawrence may not pull it off

The Wildcat returns for his 25th season with The Post. Including the 1997-2020 campaigns in the Bettor’s Guide, Cat’s record in print stands at 652-561 (53.8 percent) against the spread.

HOUSTON TEXANS (+3) over Jacksonville Jaguars: It’s difficult to resist Houston plus the points. The home side boasts a solid brace of running backs who can aid and abet Tyrod Taylor in his quest to keep the ball away from huge-rep Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence.

We’ll grab the tray in a matchup in which the last team to score likely covers. Houston, for one unit.

LOS ANGELES RAMS (-7.5) over Chicago Bears: Despite the spread inflation that has taken place on this side, given that QB Andy Dalton’s expected to start for the visitors, the Rams’ defense is justifiably a confident item at SoFi Stadium.

Though we are bullish on rookie Bears QB Justin Fields’ prospects as he gains experience, this looms the wrong time at the wrong place for this underdog. Not wholly sold on Rams QB Matthew Stafford down the road in more challenging spots against better foes, but the evening lights should shine bright on L.A. here, for one unit.

2020 SEASON: 16-24-1.
