NYC’s Metrograph theater to finally reopen after COVID pause

It’s a piece of reel good news.

The Metrograph will finally reopen for in-person screenings next month, the artsy-fartsy theater announced in a news release.

The Chinatown theater will receive live audiences again on Oct. 1, starting with “the brand new 4K restoration of Andrzej Żuławski’s stunningly visceral Possession,” the theater said in the release.

The theater will require all staff and patrons to be “fully vaccinated,” the release said.
