Emma Raducanu’s domination of the US Open came under threat of coming unstuck in the final moments, as she was forced to call a medical time-out after two match points. 

Leylah Fernandez had bravely weathered the storm with Raducanu only a swing from victory when the British teen grazer her knee sliding for the ball. 

With blood dripping down her leg Raducanu was forced to call a medical time-out, with Fernandez complaining in a heated, lengthly debate that the stoppage was wrecked the momentum she’d just begun building.
