“Everyone’s got a Derek in their life or a Billy or a Darcey, or has lost someone, or in mourning,” she added referring to the couple’s children.
“And hopefully this is for everybody that’s been going through the pandemic and let’s all keep going and celebrating the joy.”
In an update on his health, she went on to speak about his slow road to recovery.
“He is free of the virus, and has been for a long time, but the damage that has been inflicted on his organs and his body, that even though he is still with us and at home, the recovery is very slow,” she explained.
