Keke Palmer and Ilana Glazer will host livestream red carpet coverage of the Met Gala

Fashion’s biggest night of the year is coming back in a big way.

Keke Palmer and Ilana Glazer are set to host livestream red carpet coverage of the Met Gala with ‘unprecedented access’ to the exclusive event.

The women will interview ‘A-list celebrities, designers and other high-profile guests’ which will broadcast live on vogue.com, according to PEOPLE.

Ilana, who starred on the cult classic Comedy Central show Broad City, recently gave birth to her first child with husband David Rocklin.

The 34-year-old actress will mark her hosting debut at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, Sept. 13

Keke, 28, has already dipped her toes into the world of hosting after leading the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, and has guest co-hosted The View and The Wendy Williams Show.

Last year’s Met Gala was canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is bringing the star-studded event back, but with safety precautions in place.

 ‘Currently, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must provide proof of full vaccination and will also be expected to wear masks indoors except when eating or drinking,’ a spokesperson for The Met confirmed to PEOPLE in August. ‘We will update these guidelines as needed.’  

Billie Eilish will make history at the charity fundraiser by being the gala’s youngest ever co-chair. 

The theme for this year’s New York social event is America: A Lexicon of Fashion, which is named after a new exhibition at the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

The popstar will join other celebrities including Naomi Osaka, inauguration poet Amanda Gorman and Timothée Chalamet as co-chairs, while Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri and Anna Wintour will set as honorary chairs.

The Post reported that due to COVID-19 mandates, Wintour had to cut the guest list from 600 to 450 people.

Gala-mainstays Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian are reported to be attending the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, however many of the gala’s familiar faces are not attending, including the likes of Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen and actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
