In view of his 7.9million followers, Piers wrote: “I’m delighted OFCOM has endorsed my right to disbelieve the Duke & Duchess of Sussex’s incendiary claims to Oprah Winfrey, many of which have proven to be untrue.
“This is a resounding victory for free speech and a resounding defeat for Princess Pinocchios. Do I get my job back?”
Piers’ tweet left his followers divided, and while some thought Ofcom made the wrong decision, others were delighted and left the host messages of support.
One replied: “I completely agree with you! You have your right to disbelieve people just as those wish to believe people.”
Another penned: “You are entitled to your opinion, you’ve been vindicated and you absolutely should have your job back.”
