James Cleverly leaves BBC viewers distracted with Union Flag 'Why am I not surprised?'

“Let’s go back to you on the figure, Labour are claiming the number is close to 5,000, are they right?” Minchin asked.

“I just said we can’t really put a figure on it because what we have said in that third group is we are looking to be generous and we are looking at individuals and groups that we know are at risk whether they be the gay community in Afghanistan or whether they be religious minorities or indeed individuals who have put themselves forward for political office or have been critical of the Taliban,” Cleverly answered.

“It is not possible to put an accurate figure on that but as I say we will continue to evacuate people.”

BBC Breakfast airs on BBC One daily at 6am.
