Spider-Man No Way Home trailer includes 'glimpse of Daredevil' – did you spot it?

After months of waiting and reported trailer leaks, Spider-Man fans finally received their first look at the third Marvel Spidey movie this week. No Way Home continues the web-head’s story from Far From Home, which involved Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) outing Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) secret identity to the world. The trailer shows Peter in jail looking over some files with a lawyer.

Fans on Twitter have become convinced Peter’s lawyer is none other than Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox).

Matt was last seen in the Netflix and Disney series Daredevil in 2018 before the TV show was cancelled.

In the Marvel Comics mythos, Spider-Man and Daredevil are powerful friends and have teamed up numerous times around New York City in the past.

Because of this, fans believe they have spotted Daredevil actor Cox in the latest trailer.

What do you think? Is Matt Murdock / Daredevil in No Way Home?

The moment comes at around 31 seconds in the trailer – WATCH ABOVE – when a file is slammed down in front of Peter.

The presumed lawyer is wearing dark trousers, a dark tie, and a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up.

This look became iconic for Cox’s Matt Murdock in the Daredevil TV show.

Fans pointed out this similarity on Twitter, with one saying: “TRY TO TELL ME THOSE ARENT MATT MURDOCK’S HANDS.” (sic)

Also, if Cox’s Matt is making a return, what does this mean for the Daredevil character? Will fans get another season of the highly praised show? Or will he get his own movie?

Either way, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is once again bolstering its roster with even more New York-based heroes.

Even more exciting in the trailer is the arrival of Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina).

In the final moments of the feature the epic claws burst through the ground before Doc Ock’s face appeared.

With a vicious smile, he said: “Hello Peter,” teasing another powerful battle between age-old enemies.

However, the mystery still remains over whether Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are in the film.

Rumours have suggested they will be teaming up with Holland for a three-spider attack, but fans may just have to wait until opening day to find out the truth.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits cinemas on December 17, 2021.
