Melissa Joan Hart has tested positive for COVID-19 despite being ‘vaccinated.’
The actress, 45, revealed the news in a two-minute long Instagram video on Thursday, adding that she thinks one of her three sons may have also contracted the virus.
‘I got Covid. I am vaccinated and I got Covid and it’s bad,’ began Melissa, who broadcasted her message from bed. ‘It’s weighing on my chest it’s hard to breathe.’

She continued: ‘One of my kids, I think, has it so far and I’m praying that the other ones are okay.’
The Sabrina The Teenage Witch star shares three children, sons Mason, 15, Braydon, 13, and Tucker, eight, with husband Mark Wilkerson, 44.
Clearly frustrated, Hart said she is ‘really mad, because we tried and we took precautions and we cut our exposure by a lot but we got a little lazy and I think as a country we got lazy.

‘I’m really mad that my kids didn’t have to wear masks at school and I’m pretty sure that’s where this came from,’ speculated the star, who looked visibly emotional as she spoke.
Although there is ‘nothing I can do about it now,’ the actress expressed pride for her youngest son Tucker for proudly wearing his mask to school ‘everyday’ and not taking it off.
‘My little one, luckily, wore a mask everyday because he was used to it from last year. And he came home everyday bragging, “Mom! I wore my mask,” and I was so thankful,’ she gushed.

‘Now if [Tucker] does get it, I can at least tell him he was a superhero to those in his classroom because he protected his teacher and his classmates from it.’
Melissa and her family are believed to be living in Nashville, Tennessee, where the topic of requiring children to wear masks while attending public school in the state has become a divisive one.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee recently signed Executive Order 84, which ‘requires schools to allow parents to opt their children out from mask requirements,’ as per the Tennessean.

‘But officials with Shelby County Schools and Metro Nashville Public Schools stated Monday evening that all students are still required to wear them,’ with the outlet adding that there is ‘no process in those districts, where masks are required, for seeking a non-medical mask exemption.’
Melissa said she ‘just really hopes that my husband and the other ones don’t get’ the virus because she is scared of what may happen if one of them is hospitalized.
‘If someone has to be taken to the hospital, I can’t go with them and I’m just scared and sad and disappointed in myself, some of our leaders and a lot of people, including myself,’ she explained, adding: ‘I just wish I’d done better, so I’m asking you guys to do better.
