A Chelsea fan brutally told Timo Werner to ‘get out of the club’ across the PA system at Stamford Bridge while the German striker trained on the other side of the pitch on Wednesday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side treated a small number of fans to an open training session ahead of their trip across London to play Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

New £98million signing Romelu Lukaku was in attendance while Cesar Azpilicueta and Co paraded their Champions League and European Super Cup trophies on the pitch before getting down to business.

But things turned sour in the stands when some of the fans in attendance were given the chance to offer up a score prediction for Sunday’s match at the Emirates across the PA system at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel’s side were stood on the opposite of the pitch at this point, carrying out their exercises.

In a video posted on Twitter, the host of the event can be heard asking one fan who you can struggle to make out near the front of the stand.

The fan replied: ‘Let’s have it right…. get Werner out of the club’.

The withering comment produced a stunned reaction from those other Chelsea fans sat near him in the stand.

One supporter was particularly irate and shouted: ‘No, you get out’ to the fan before asking ‘who are you? who do you think you are?’

Reports suggest the criticism continued towards the fan before he was chased out of Stamford Bridge. Footage has since emerged of him getting into a taxi and leaving the area.

The Blues beat off huge competition to sign Werner from RB Leipzig for £53million last summer but his first season in English football was a struggle.

Werner scored 12 goals and contributed 15 assists in 52 appearances for the Blues but couldn’t put together a regular run of goals.

He also missed a number of good chances that led to consternation from supporters and prompted Tuchel into searching for a new striker.

Lukaku has since signed and took part in his first training session with the squad on Tuesday after completing his £98m switch from Inter Milan last week.

The Belgian was left out of Tuchel’s squad for Saturday’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace but hopes to make his return against Mikel Arteta’s men on Sunday.

When asked if he was fit and ready for the fixture, Lukaku said: ‘Yeah I have been training, I have done a full pre-season so I am available for the manager if he wants to play me.’

Lukaku also confirmed he would be wearing the No 9 shirt at Stamford Bridge this season following Tammy Abraham’s £34million move to Roma.
