Toddler killed by family Rottweiler in NYC

A 19-month-old boy was mauled to death by his family’s Rottweiler at their Flatbush home.

The savage attack happened around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at the East 17 Street home while the toddler was being watched by his older siblings, according to the NYPD.

According to police, the 19-month-old toddler sustained bite marks on the neck and shoulder.

Responding cops found the baby “bleeding heavily” from bite wounds to his neck and shoulder, officials said.

The youngster died at Maimonides Hospital, and the dog was taken away by Animal Care and Control, according to police.

The toddler was being cared for by his older siblings on August 10, 2021 when the dog attacked.

Detectives were interrogating the baby’s parents after they returned to the family home, and were trying to determine if anyone broke the law.

Police arrived on the scene to find the infant "bleeding heavily." Police took the child to a hospital and the dog was removed by Animal Care and Control.

No arrests had been made in connection with the tragedy Wednesday morning, police said.
