Steam DOWN: Server status report for Counter Strike, Dead by Daylight and more

The Steam servers appear to have gone down, leaving thousands of fans unable to play games like Counter Strike online.

The Steam server status makes grim reading for fans, who have complained about not being able to access games online.

Independent website Down Detector has received thousands of reports that Steam isn’t working.

The outage tracker monitors social mentions around certain topics to detect when services go down across the world.

The Down Detector outage map shows that the Steam issues are affecting users in the UK and Europe.

There are also thousands of reports that the service has gone offline in the US.

It looks like popular games like Counter Strike and Dead by Daylight are the main games being affected.

Needless to say, fans have taken to social media to vent their frustrations about the latest outage.

One fan writes: “Aaaaaaaaand Steam’s down again. Just as i was about to jump into a killer match.”

Another tweets: “Man, I was playing Dead by Daylight and of course Steam goes down.”

“Thanks Steam for going down when about to end 1-hour mission with no checkpoints,” reads a further tweet.

But maybe this tweet sums it up best: “Steam is down. No more games.”

According to the unofficial server status page, the downtime was just a bit of routine maintenance, and the service should be back soon.
