While some defended the oversight, with one saying: “I think both things could be true!
“People could have bought a ticket but not shown up and they might just be using the wrong wording. Or the airline only allowed x number of seats for rebooking.”
Thankfully, the continuity blunder went over the heads of most fans, who remained riveted by the series’ twists and turns.
With more and more rallying other networks to save Manifest from cancellation, hopefully the plot holes and cliffhangers at the end of season three can eventually be resolved.
Manifest is currently available to watch on NBC in the US, and on Sky and NOW in the UK.
