Man, 32, fatally shot on Bronx street

A 32-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest on a Bronx street Tuesday night, police said.

Ronnell Garmie was shot by an unknown suspect outside of an apartment building on Tiebout Avenue near East 183rd Street in the Fordham Heights neighborhood at about 8:15 p.m., according to cops.

Garmie was unconscious when first responders arrived. He was taken by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

It was not immediately clear what preceded the fatal shooting.

No arrests were made as of early Wednesday morning, police said.

Garmie was taken to a nearby hospital in Harlem where he was pronounced dead. Police are still looking for the gunman.
