Kirstie Allsopp brands Jeremy Clarkson a 'legend' over Covid vaccine comments

Kirstie Allsopp has responded to broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson, branding him a “legend” amid his urge for people to get vaccinated. The former Top Gear presenter took to Twitter earlier after his comments in a recent interview landed him in hot water.

Jeremy weighed in with his thoughts on vaccines in view of his 7.4 million followers on Twitter.

He penned: “If you really want to know what I think: get vaccinated.

“It’s not a government plot,” he continued. “Governments can’t even mend pot holes.”

His thoughts led him to be praised by Location, Location, Location star on social media.

Jeremy then added: “I read in The Times it will be forever.

“Well, if it’s going to be forever, let’s open it up and if you die, you die.”

His comments sparked backlash, with some taking to social media to criticise his words.

One user in particular penned to him: “@JeremyClarkson I wonder if you’d be happy to say this to the kids that have lost parents ‘if you die you die’.

“I’ve had to witness young kids saying goodbye to parents.
