Donald Trump and Obama offered $5million to 'heal' America through joint podcast interview

Valuetainment founder Patrick Bet-David has raised more than $5million in an attempt to bring former presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama who have been staunch opponents over the years. Mr Bet-David explained much of America was divided and believed if he could bring the two politicians into a room together and talk honestly then it could bring the US back together. The podcast boss was then grilled on Fox News over how the podcast would practically work over the proposed three-hour sit-down.

Appearing on Fox News, Mr Bet-David explained his reasoning behind the episode as he hoped it would help bring Americans together.

Branding it the “Reunited States”, the podcast will see advisories Mr Trump and Mr Obama sit down together and talk out their difference.

He explained during his history of running businesses he found it was extremely helpful when he brought two people who despised one another into the same room and recalled his own personal experiences of his parents who divorced but got back together again.

He said: “[Trump and Obama] are people who cannot stand each other, these are people disagree, the longer we wait to put them in a room together the problem gets bigger and bigger.

“I feel it is the right time to bring two of the most influential people in the world together.”

Mr Bet-David was then asked how the podcast would actually go ahead with the entrepreneur explaining both men would receive half of the $2.5million each.

The interview is hoped to last three hours which will then be split into three segments lasting an hour each.

Mr Bet-David said he would ask questions for the first hour, followed by an audience Q&A and then a free-form conversation between Mr Trump and Mr Obama.

He added many voters and political pundits were fed up with the official debate rules usually held during American elections which limit answers from politicians to around two minutes.

He explained this system would allow Mr Trump and Mr Obama to give longer and more detailed answers and hoped the programme would run more smoothly.

Mr Obama has been a staunch critic of Mr Trump, accusing the Republican of “tearing down” US democracy and has “no interest” in fixing America’s problems.

Trump also said during his presidential campaign that Mr Obama was the “founder of ISIS” and repeatedly doubted whether he was actually born in the US.

Mr Trump claims he lost the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden because of election fraud and suggests postal votes and other votes were not recorded in his favour.

Arizona, a state Mr Trump was subject to fraud, found only 182 cases of fraud out of three million votes casted.

Mr Biden won the state by 10,400 more votes than his foe.
