Fortnite fans have the Fortnite season 7 live event to look forward to next week. Epic Games has confirmed that a live event will be happening before the Fortnite season 8 release date, and the upcoming in-game event for Battle Royale is called the Rift Tour.
The Fortnite Rift Tour event launches on Friday August 6 and will run through to Sunday August 8.
Epic Games says the Fortnite season 7 live event will see players journey to “magical” realities where “Fortnite and a record-breaking superstar collide”.
While Epic Games hasn’t announced exactly who this superstar is, that description does seem to fit Ariana Grande – the pop icon who is heavily rumoured to be headlining the next Fortnite event.
Speaking about the Fortnite Rift Tour, the @FortniteGame Twitter posted: “Escape into the Rift.

Epic Games also said: “Because the Rift Tour experience spans five showtimes over three days, we’ve added the Rift Tour tab to the game menu. The Rift Tour tab allows you and your friends to schedule the showtimes you plan to attend, as well as keep up-to-speed on the latest Rift Tour Quests.”
But you don’t have to wait till next Friday to enjoy all that the Rift Tour has to offer.
Right now rewards can be unlocked for the first wave of Rift Tour quests.
Rewards include the Cosmic Cuddles Loading Screen, Rift-sterpiece Spray and Cloudy Kitty Emoticon.
The Fortnite makers added that on Monday August 2 they’ll be sharing more “big news” about the Fortnite season 7 live event.
