Travel restrictions have continually been reviewed by looking at cases in the UK and other countries. All but essential travel has been advised against for those hoping to visit Greece, according to a warning from EU health body European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
The serious risk caused by the recent rise in Greece means travellers have been asked not to visit the locations.
Among the islands are some of the most popular islands with British tourists.
They include Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes which are usually go-to summer holiday destinations for many tourists.
The details of the ECDC map help nations set quarantine and testing rules for holidaymakers.

Commenting on the update, president of the hoteliers association of Rhodes Manolis Markopoulos said: “We’re waiting to see how the (tourist) markets will react.”
Travel restrictions in the UK are currently outlined by the Government’s traffic light system.
Countries are either listed as ‘green’, ‘amber’ or ‘red’.
Each list has it’s own set of requirements for anyone going there and returning to the UK.
The lists also indicate whether Britons can travel to the countries freely or if there are restrictions in place.
Those who visit amber list countries must take a Covid test three days before returning to the UK.
They must also book and pay for a test to be taken once they arrive back home.
Passenger locator forms should be completed and travellers must begin a 10 day quarantine after arriving in the UK.
Covid tests must also be taken on day two and on or after day eight of the quarantine.
