Kysty Ambleside, in, Ambleside, Cumbria, ranked as the seventh best eatery in TripAdvisor’s Travellers Choice Awards 2021. The ‘Best of the Best’ list ranks the top 10 ‘date night’ restaurants in the UK and Channel Islands “drawn from the experience of the best experts possible: Real travellers who’ve been there before”.
Opening its doors in the summer of 2018, the casual eatery is owned by Ryan and Craig Blackburn, who serve up a selection of dishes crafted using only the finest local ingredients.
Sister restaurant The Old Stamp House Restaurant, also in Ambleside, was crowned as the number one restaurant for diners looking for a romantic meal out.
Kysty Ambleside received five out of five stars on TripAdvisor after 94 per cent of visitors rated their restaurant experience as ‘excellent’.
One review reads: “Everything was perfect from beginning to end. We had the three course lunch menu, it was delicious. Tasty creative food served by friendly informative staff.
“Nice little touches with tasters and breads. Wines were superb too, best we’ve had for a long time. Loved it, can’t wait to return.”
Another review reads: “Excellent dining experience. We loved the focus on local produce, the wine recommendations, the quality of the presentation and the wonderful tastes. Brilliant meal. Thank you.”
