PS5 UK Stock update: GAME, Very and Currys next after Argos restock

Following Argos launching thousands of consoles today, GAME will be the next major UK retailer to restock the PS5.

The latest reports suggest that the next PS5 stock drop in the UK will happen on Thursday, July 22.

And unless there are last-minute delays, everything should be going online between 8am and 1pm BST.

GAME has been linked to several stock drops this month, but its plans for July 22 could be its biggest of July.

Thousands of consoles will reportedly drop tomorrow as part of the next PlayStation 5 shipment, with leading tracker accounts claiming there will be around 10,000 available to buy.

Based on previous stock drops, these are expected to be part of bundles, including games, extra controllers and merchandise.

This will pump up the price of the original console and means gamers might have to spend more.

Here’s the latest news from PS5 Stock UK over on Twitter, with the account confirming today:

“GAME will be going live with 8-10K PlayStation 5’s on: Thursday 22nd July (9-11am).

“If you select Priority delivery method, your order will be shipped by the 27th July, all other delivery method orders will be shipped by the 2nd August.”

This will be the next big chance for gamers to try and buy a PS5 console in the UK this week, but there could be others just around the corner.

Currys has reportedly received more stock this week, however, it appears that this will be used to fulfil existing pre-orders.

The good news is that these will be used for those who have been successful in using the VIP in-store system, meaning your order could be completed very soon.

So what other deals are coming to the UK in July? Other UK retailers linked to stock drops later this month include the following stores:

ASDA – Possible PS5 restock happening between July 21 and July 29 (8-11am)

John Lewis – Possible PS5 restock happening between July 21 and July 29 (7-9am)

Very – Possible PS5 restock happening between July 22 and July 29 (9-11am)

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. No more stock is expected during July 2021.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings. The latest Argos restock event happened on July 21.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock drop will reportedly happen on July 22.
