Fern Britton in men jibe after sharing dating decision amid split from ex Phil Vickery

Former This Morning presenter Fern Britton, 64, has sarcastically remarked that men are difficult to “resist” after a Twitter user complained about receiving an “unsolicited d**k pic” from an admirer this morning. It comes after the Daughters of Cornwall author declared that she is “not looking for anybody else” following her split from her estranged husband Phil Vickery, 60, after 20 years of marriage.

Fern spotted the tweet, which was posted by journalist Heidi Stephens, and couldn’t resist aiming a witty jibe at men in response.

Heidi told her 11,000 followers: “Woke up to an unsolicited d**k pic on Instagram this morning, accompanied by the message ‘your no model but I’d let you ride it anyway’.

“Be still my beating heart.”

Fern retweeted Heidi’s post in view of her 87,000 followers and quipped: “Men eh! How can you resist !”

Fern said in a chat with Carol Kirkwood, 59, for online platform Fane.co.uk: “One of my cats, Bob, you feel something in the night, then you get a paw and a few claws and then he whispers in your ear, ‘I don’t know if you are aware of it but it’s almost 4am and I am hungry’.

“And it is every morning and that is Bob. So I have Bob and Brandy and she is an absolute b***h.

“She really is. She comes in, bashing away.

“We have a little doggy as well and he has become my grandson. They are all very sweet.”
