When Arsenal will unveil Ben White signing as second transfer announcement planned

Arsenal have finally reached an agreement with Brighton over a deal for Ben White and now the transfer is in the final stages. The Gunners stepped up their interest in the player after he forced his way into Gareth Southgate’s thinking, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold in England’s Euro 2020 squad.

Talks behind the scenes between the two clubs progressed throughout the tournament as Arsenal saw two bids rejected.

The Gunners tabled offers of £40million and £47million but the Seagulls made it clear they were holding out for £50million.

Arsenal were always adamant that talks with the player and all the formalities with White including contract talks and a medical would not take place until after Euro 2020.

Yet now they have a deal in place with Brighton, so are free to complete the signing whenever they please.

Furthermore, Arsenal have also had to shut down their London Colney training ground following a COVID-19 outbreak.

It’s reported that the issue is also holding up the completion of the Lokonga deal.

Arsenal aren’t expected to stop there though when incomings are concerned.

Aaron Ramsdale is also a target while Arsenal are prepared to spend on Sassuolo and Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
