Blink-182's Mark Hoppus reveals he has stage four lymphoma

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus has stage four lymphoma.

The rocker, 49, shared new details about his cancer diagnosis during a recent Twitch live stream, which was recapped by Page Six.

‘My classification is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Stage 4-A, which means, as I understand it, it’s entered four different parts of my body,’ Hoppus explained in the video, which was captured by a fan account and not dated specifically.

‘I don’t know how exactly they determine the four-part of it,’ he continued, ‘but it’s entered enough parts of my body that I’m Stage 4, which I think is the highest that it goes. So, I’m Stage 4-A.’

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (shortened as DLBCL) is a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes and is the most common type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

According to WedMD: ‘DLBCL grows fast, but 3 out of 4 people are disease-free after treatment, and about half are cured.’

Mark was seated outdoors on a semicircular bench and didn’t seem to mind revealing his new bald look, a side effect of his chemo treatments.

He wore a black ‘Los Angeles -vs- Everybody’ T-shirt white black shorts, as well as classic black sunglasses.

‘The Cancer Haver wishes you all a very happy Fourth of July weekend,’ he wrote, while showing off a soft smile.

The punk rocker was presumably celebrating at home, as he revealed days earlier that he can’t leave his home except for medical treatments due to his low white blood cell count.

Even though he hasn’t looked as energetic as he did prior to beginning treatment, Mark gave his followers on Twitch an optimistic update last week.

The What’s My Age Again? singer shared that he was ‘feeling much better’ during a game of Blinko benefiting Children’s Hospital LA.

‘I went for a walk, and I had a decent breakfast, and I haven’t felt like I was going to throw up today, so we’ll take it as a win.’

He added that he was feeling considerably less nauseated than he had felt during his previous round of chemo treatments.

‘I’ve actually, like, watched movies and walked around and cleaned the house and hung out with my dogs,’ he said with a smile.

‘Then I didn’t just feel like a poisoned electrified zombie leaned up against an electric fence like I did the rest, the past couple of rounds.’

He first announced his cancer diagnosis on June 23, tweeting: ‘It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.’
