Actress Jacki Weaver is a familiar face on-screen and her blistering prior performances will undoubtedly ensure her recently announced character in season four of Yellowstone will be a major threat. However, more details have emerged suggesting John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) and his family will be destroyed by the latest cast addition.
Taylor Sheridan and John Linson’s hit series Yellowstone has added an impressive selection of actors to its upcoming season.
However, it is Weaver’s character Warner who looks set to do the most damage to the Dutton family.
Deadline reports Weaver’s character is a “CEO of Market Equities that is trying to crush the hold that John Dutton has on his sprawling Montana ranch”.
The ominous description will surely worry fans as they have previously witnessed Dutton fight off others trying to take his ranch in previous seasons.
Patton joined the series in season three as Jamie Dutton’s (Wes Bentley) biological father.
Jamie is an aspiring politician and believed for many years John was his real father, however, he grew tired of the family’s intolerance of him over the years.
He later discovered he was adopted and his biological mother was murdered by his real father.
Throughout last season, the murderous Patton has been advising his son on the best way to take control of the ranch to “kill the king”.
With similar goals of taking control of the Dutton ranch, could a team up between Jamie and new character Caroline be inevitable?
If not, Caroline is still bound to cross paths with Jamie at some point but, without a team up between the pair, the CEO will be forced to fight against both John and Jamie for control.
Jamie’s increasing volatility towards his family could feed into Caroline’s vicious motives to destroy the ranch, and the two could make a deadly duo.
With his family turning against him, John should be greatly concerned about the ranch’s future, as well as his life as things become increasingly dangerous for all involved.
But the question is, what does Caroline want with the ranch in the first place?
Her motivations will surely be made clear throughout season four but, no matter what, this will spell bad news for the Dutton family, who have already suffered enough.
Fans will have plenty to look forward to in season four and Weaver is sure to create one hell of an antagonist.
Yellowstone season 4 premieres on Paramount Network later this year.
