The Wimbledon women’s singles final takes place on Saturday afternoon as top seed Ashleigh Barty takes on Karolina Pliskova in the SW19 showdown on Centre Court.
Barty has breezed through the competition so far and is looking for her first Wimbledon trophy and only her second Grand Slam overall. Meanwhile, world No 13 Pliskova is looking for her maiden Grand Slam title.
Australian player Barty is the first player from her country to take part in the Wimbledon final since 1980, while Pliskova is only in her second Grand Slam final after losing the US Open five years.
