Rebecca claims to be an alum of the Class of ’09, which is the same year that Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and the rest of the original gang graduated from high school.
However, fans are failing to remember her from the original series and they have raised questions over her story.
At the start of the episode, she is heard telling her peers and teachers about “Gossip Girl” and how she posed as a constant threat.
She says: “If she knew your secrets, and she always did, she told them. She kept us all accountable. People thought it was me, but it was actually one of my classmates, Dan Humphrey.”
Thankfully, Joshua Safran, who created the reboot, has cleared things up regarding Rebecca’s identity.
