SWAT season 5: Showrunner teases opener is 'unlike ever seen before' as he drops spoiler

Ryan concluded his interview with TV Line by giving audiences one last taste of what they can expect.

He added that the “spectacular mountain backdrop” will be “unlike anything you see on scripted television”.

The showrunner also promised fans that the two-hour premiere will fully explore Hondo’s character and what led him to Mexico.

Hondo’s recent choices have been a “unique and exciting way for us,” he adds.

“We can’t wait to show these episodes to our fans.”

Seasons 1 to 4 of SWAT are available to watch on CBS in the US, and season five will debut later this year with a specific release date yet to be announced.
