Lightning oust Canadiens to repeat as Stanley Cup champs

Turn out the lights

The Tampa Bay Lightning won their second straight Stanley Cup on Wednesday, beating the Montreal Canadiens with a stifling 1-0 win at Amalie Arena in Tampa, thanks to a second-period goal by Ross Colton to win the series in dominant fashion, 4-1.

Carey Price did his best to give the Canadiens a chance, stopping 29 shots, but the one that slipped through was all Tampa Bay needed, as Vezina Trophy finalist Andrei Vasilevskiy recorded a 22-save shutout.
