The Aussie rapper, 31, supported the pop star’s claims she is in an ‘abusive’ situation, taking to Twitter to tell fans Spears was ‘not exaggerating or lying’ about her father’s treatment while posting under the #FreeBritney hashtag.

In a lengthy post, Azalea stood by Spears and wrote: ‘Its basic human decency to at the very least remove a person Britney has identified as abusive from her life. This should be illegal.’

Talking about their work on the song Pretty Girls together, Iggy said: ‘During the time we worked together in 2015, I personally witnessed the same behavior Britney detailed in regards to her father last week and I just want to back her up and tell the world that: She is not exaggerating or lying.

‘I saw her restricted from even the most bizarre and trivial things: like how many sodas she was allowed to drink. Why is that even Necessary?

‘Her father conveniently waited until literally moments before our [Billboard Music Awards] performance when I was backstage in the dressing room and told me if I did not sign an NDA he would not allow me on stage.

‘The way he went about getting me to sign a contract, sounded similar to the tactics Britney spoke about last week in regards to her Las Vegas show.

‘Jamie Spears has a habit of making people sign documents while under Duress it seems, and Britney Spears should not be forced to co-exists with that man when she’s made it clear it is negatively impacting her mental health.

‘This is not right at all,’ she concluded.

Azalea spoke out Wednesday after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny denied the pop star’s most recent request to remove Jamie from the head of the conservatorship, filed last November by Britney’s lawyer Samuel Ingham III, according to Variety.

The Grammy-winning singer last week spoke with the court for the first time in the 13-year history of the conservatorship, which was implemented amid a pileup of personal problems.

‘I cried on the phone for an hour and he loved every minute of it,’ Britney told the court of her father. ‘The control he had over someone as powerful as me – he loved the control to hurt his own daughter 100,000 percent. He loved it.

‘I just want my life back. And it’s been 13 years. And it’s enough. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money. And it’s my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested.’

Jamie continues to be the sole conservator of his daughter’s estate and wealth, with court-appointed conservator Jodi Montgomery overseeing the singer’s personal care the past two years.

A lawyer for Jamie on Wednesday filed legal docs that said his client was ‘concerned about the management and care of his daughter’ on Montgomery’s part.

Britney ‘told the court on June 23 that she is opposed to being under a conservatorship and revealed her ongoing disputes with Ms. Montgomery about her medical treatment and other personal care issues,’ Jamie’s attorney said.

Montgomery’s attorney said in a statement that Montgomery continues to be a ‘tireless advocate for Britney and for her well-being.’
