Brilliant footage has since emerged from UEFA capturing the moment Henderson was waiting to come on as a substitute before Kane landed the knockout blow to Germany.

In the build-up to the header as Luke Shaw intercepted the ball in Germany’s half, Henderson can be seen roaring his side on towards goal.

And as Kane headed home from Jack Grealish’s cross from the left, the Liverpool skipper was filmed going berserk before running down the touchline to celebrate the goal in the 86th minute.

The experienced midfielder then ran straight back to Gareth Southgate, before wildly embracing his manager and the rest of the backroom staff as England wrapped up the huge win.

Henderson came on with just minutes to spare for Declan Rice at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

Henderson has endured a limited role so far for England at the Euros, having only recently recovered from a groin injury sustained in February while playing for Liverpool.

After not playing any part in England’s opening two matches, the 31-year-old came on as a half-time substitute in the final group game against the Czech Republic before his tiny cameo in the Germany win.

Henderson will be desperate foor more minutes next time out, with England now gearing up for their crunch quarter-final showdown with Ukraine on Saturday evening in Rome.
