There was almost an 18-month gap between seasons three and four, so the same may be said for the upcoming season.
If this is the case, season five may not appear until October 2021 at the earliest. A winter release date is not uncommon for the series.
In another Reddit post, one fan said of the potential release date: “Probably November/December 2021 at the earliest but that’s very doubtful, probably Spring 22.”
Another added: “TLK is the equivalent of one 10-hour feature film, location shooting for several months, and a 18-month production cycle.
“All of Europe has Covid-19 getting ready to explode. This is not the flu or a cold, and this generation is going to see a winter never seen before. Winter comes. Don’t expect Witcher or TLK until spring 2022.”
