Piers Morgan brutally mocks Chrissy Teigen's 'Meghan Markle-style Oprah interview hopes'

Former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 56, has taken to Twitter to blast any suggestion of model Chrissy Teigen, 35, featuring in an exclusive interview with media mogul Oprah Winfrey after profusely apologising for her historic “trolling” tweets. The outspoken TV personality took the opportunity to make a not-so-subtle dig at Meghan Markle, 39, following hers and Prince Harry’s conversation with the media star earlier this year, after which Piers said he didn’t believe a word The Duchess of Sussex says.

In view of his 7.9 million followers, the Life Stories host promptly shut down any question of Chrisy doing an exclusive interview following reports on the subject.

He wrote: “Forget it luv. We’ve endured enough Oprah-enabled woke Pinocchios for one year…”, followed by a laughing face emoji.

Over the last few weeks, the former Swimsuit Illustrated model’s historic “trolling” comments resurfaced, leading to the mother-of-two issuing a lengthy grovelling apology.

Sent to the likes of actress Lindsay Lohan, Courtney Stodden, and Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, Chrissy profusely apologised for her nasty messages and confessed to being a “troll.”

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex sat down with Oprah in a landmark interview about her experience as part of the Royal Family.

Alongside her husband Prince Harry, Meghan claimed to have experienced suicidal thoughts while pregnant with her son Archie.

Commenting on Meghan’s claims on GMB, Piers said, “I wouldn’t believe her if she read me a weather report”, resulting in him leaving the show less than 72 hours later, which he subsequently blamed on the controversy surrounding his remarks from “woke” viewers.

Piers also blasted the couple for going ahead with the interview, which resulted in explosive claims being made while Prince Phillip was in hospital in London.

In his column for The Daily Mail, Piers rejected the apology which Chrissy had issued over social media and compared her “preaching about kindness” to that of Meghan Markle.

He wrote: “Yesterday, in a desperate attempt to save her career, Teigen posted a lengthy apology in which she bleated that she was a changed woman, this all happened when she was young, and she’s so sorry for being a ‘troll’ and an ‘a**hole’… blah blah blah.

“So, like everything else in Chrissy Teigen’s warped world, her mea culpa yesterday was a lie, a sham and deliberate attempt to con the world into thinking she’s a nice person really. She’s not and never has been”, he added.

The ITV presenter went on to liken the TV personality to Jameela Jamil and Meghan Markle, claiming that she demonstrates a lack of “compassion” in her treatment of other people.

Piers said: “Like Jameela Jamil and Meghan Markle, she constantly preaches about kindness and compassion whilst simultaneously treating people with a shocking lack of either.

“She never apologised for any of her hateful tweets until they were unearthed, and she never showed an ounce of compassion or forgiveness to any of her myriad victims that she so relentlessly hounded and tried to ruin”, he added.

Chrissy’s husband of eight years John Legend also broke his silence to comment on the situation today.

When asked by TMZ how his wife is doing, John replied: “She’s doing great.”
