Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul can knock each other out in Sunday’s exhibition fight – but no official winner will be declared after the Miami showdown.

The 50-0 retired boxing icon will take on YouTuber Paul in eight three-minute rounds this weekend – with either competitor able to end the fight by achieving a knockout which will be at the discretion of the in-ring referee.

But there will be no judges present to provide scores on a round-by-round basis, with no declaration of an eventual victor should the fight go the distance or be ended via a knockdown.

The Florida State Athletic Commission’s rules also state that both fighters will wear 12oz gloves, while any headgear will not be permitted.

The exhibition-nature of the fight means Mayweather’s impeccable record in the ring will not be tarnished should he lose the contest, while Paul’s history of 0-1 will remain the same even if he wins.

Mayweather is rumoured to be earning in the region of £70million from the fight and has described it as a ‘legal bank robbery’ with many expecting the boxing legend to make light work of Paul.

However, Paul has revealed Sunday’s Miami showdown is far more than an exhibition – and insisted that Mayweather will not have ‘a s*** easy fight’.

Paul told the True Geordie Podacst: ‘It’s not an exhibition. What exhibition is eight three-minute rounds?

‘You know, this is a fight. If Floyd didn’t want to rip my head off before my brother took his hat, now he’s trying to kill me.

‘He’s trying to make an example of the big brother so the younger brother has to suffer, watch and witness. I don’t know if you’ve seen Scarface but that’s what he’s trying to do.

‘It’s going to be a war, I’m not going to make this s*** easy for him. We’ve been training our a**es off for eight months now to fight this guy.’

Paul’s only previous professional fight is a defeat to fellow YouTuber KSI back in November 2019, which he lost a split decision in Los Angeles.

Mayweather and the YouTuber clashed in the pre-fight meet last month, with Paul’s brother Jake causing a scuffle after he stole the ‘Money’s’ hat during a face-off. Mayweather recently warned Jake he will put him in a ‘neck brace’ if he disrespects him again.

Logan’s brother is also in the boxing scene, as well as being a YouTuber, with the 24-year-old taking on ex-UFC star Tyron Woodley on August 28.
