While discussing her sexuality, Siwa told the outlet that she was finally ready to come out once she was in a happy relationship with girlfriend Kylie Prew.

She said: ‘[I] told myself for a long time… “If I have someone to come out with, then I will come out.”‘

JoJo came out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community three months ago with a shirt that said ‘Best gay cousin ever,’ on social media.

The bow-headed blonde dancer said that several big-name celebrities supported her by personally reaching out like Kim Kardashian, Iggy Azalea, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Nas X.

Siwa explained that when it came down to it, she didn’t care what people would think about her living her truth.

‘I just did that… Everyone’s going to kill me,” she recalled thinking after sharing her ‘best gay cousin’ photo.

Adding: ‘I was like, “But I don’t care. It’ll be fine.” And it was never scary to me to put out to the world that I was happy or I was in love. If everything was to go away because of it, because of me being happy, then it’s not meant for me.’

Meanwhile, JoJo says she is ‘finally the happiest that I’ve ever been’ in with Kylie. The two were spotted holding hands last week at Universal Studios Orlando where Siwa was celebrating her 18th birthday.

Her relationship is prompting JoJo to try and get a heterosexual kissing scene cut from her upcoming Christmas film, Bounce.

‘I’m madly in love and I do not want to kiss another human. Especially because it’s a man,’ Siwa told EW, adding: ‘I’m not about it. I’m trying to get it pulled so bad. It’ll happen. It’ll get pulled.’

The star went on to say that she is worried it could cause some confusion with her young fans who may have a hard time separating her as JoJo from her on-screen character, Franny.

'I'm madly in love and I do not want to kiss another human. Especially because it's a man,' Siwa told EW, adding: 'I'm not about it. I'm trying to get it pulled so bad. It'll happen. It'll get pulled.'

‘That’s what they look at me as, not some character, not some fictional thing,’ she explained. ‘And so it’s going to be a little weird.’

Bounce sees Siwa as a teenager who gets a Christmas wish to have a new family and falls into a time loop, celebrating the holiday every day in a different home.

It’s being produced by Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios and Paramount Pictures.
