I've never really played Mass Effect, does the Legendary Edition hold up to current standards?

I get that people like the heavier RPG aspect of 1 vs the more streamlined approach of the other 2, but everything about the game just so clunky by today’s standards, I’ve completed all of them like 3 times and currently up to Virmire on LE. It just really doesnt hold up, not after so many great RPGs have come out since then, not that its weird anyway, its quite an old game.
It was a great candidate for a proper remake and leave 2 and 3 with remasters

95% of the side content is navigating the empty planets and having an encounter in 1 of 2 copy pasted locations, either the outside base or the underground base (with the exception of 2 encounters in copy pasted mines). There is no way in hell a game today wouldnt get ripped apart in reviews by that level of repetitiveness.

The map and fast travel systems are pretty unintuitive, the level and encounter design even in the main mission levels is pretty basic.

I hate how basically 99% of the interactions on scannables have that stupid minigame.

Even interactions with your teammates got a lot deeper in the next games.

And the less is said of the Mako and open world levels the better haha
