Cleaning: Mrs Hinch fans share ‘amazing’ bicarbonate of soda tip to remove dirt from sink

Mrs Hinch – Sophie Hinchcliffe – rose to fame after she started sharing tips and tricks onto her social media. Now with more than four million Instagram followers, cleaning fans regularly share their hacks with one another online.

One person said: “Cut a lemon in half and pour bicarbonate of soda onto the draining board/sink.

“Then rub the lemon all over the bicarb and wipe clean with a dry cloth. Works amazing and it’s all natural too.”

Bicarbonate of soda is a well-known natural cleaning product that is also used in baking.

It causes dirt and grease to dissolve, so it is super effective in cleaning numerous areas around the home including metals.

One Mrs Hinch explained: “Try white vinegar, leave it on for about 10 minutes before using water and a cloth.

“If that doesn’t work try Cif cream cleaner, it works so good.”

Not only is white vinegar natural and fairly cheap to pick up, it can kill household bacteria as well as cutting through grime.

It is recommended to dilute white vinegar in water before using it to clean.

Many other cleaning fans also agreed and recommended using the Cif cream cleaner.

The Cif Cream with Micro Crystals claims to remove 100 percent of dirt to reveal beautifully clean surfaces.

The cleanser is also less harmful to the environment as the Microparticles that the cleaning product contains, are sourced from naturally occurring minerals that are not linked to the plastic microbes that hair the potential to contribute to micro plastic marine litter.

The product can be picked up for as little as £1 from shops like B&M, Home Bargains and Tesco.
