Shanna Moakler claims she 'caught' ex Travis Barker having an 'affair' with Kim Kardashian

Shanna Moakler claims that she divorced ex husband Travis Barker after she ‘caught’ him ‘having an affair’ with Kim Kardashian.

‘I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair,’ said the former Miss USA, 46, to Us Weekly, before clarifying the ‘them’ was Barker, 45, and Kardashian, 40. 

Travis famously filed for divorce from Moakler in 2006, after just two years of marriage, with the drummer claiming that the model had cheated on him. They’d go on to endure a brief period of reconciliation.

Moakler said she officially signed the divorce papers in 2008, after learning of Barker’s alleged infidelity with Kardashian — which she claims occurred prior to the premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2007.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Shanna alleges that, at the time of Kim and Travis’ ‘affair,’ someone ‘sent me all their [text] conversations and I’m also close friends with people who were there, while things were happening.’

According to Moakler’s timeline, Kim was still working alongside Paris Hilton as her ‘closet organizer’ when she first came in contact with Travis. 

Barker mentioned his early 2000s interactions with Kim in his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, where he referred to Kim as Paris’ ‘closet girl.’

‘I kept on secretly checking out Kim, telling Lil Chris, “I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f***ing hot,”‘ recalled the rocker.

Despite finding Kardashian attractive, Barker wrote that he ‘wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her’ and that he ‘never touched’ the reality star, even after enjoying a few one-on-one meals together. 

But Moakler insisted to Us Weekly that Barker ‘100 percent’ lied in his memoir about ‘never’ hooking up with Kardashian. 

She continued of her version of events: ‘[Travis] had already had an affair with Paris Hilton. And … at the time Kim was Paris’ closet organizer, they were best friends.

‘And he started using [the KKW Beauty founder] as a model for [his clothing company], Famous Stars and Straps,’ she said, adding that she had asked her former husband to ‘not to use’ Kim as a model due to her direct ties to Paris.

Shanna explained that, at the time, her and Travis were ‘working on our marriage and trying to heal through that affair, that infidelity, [but] he continued to [work with Kim]’ despite her wishes.

‘And then I received all the text messages and the other third parties kind of let me know. It’s something I was well aware of.’

Although Moakler is certain something romantic occurred between the pair, a source close to the Kardashian clan told Page Six on Tuesday that ‘Travis and Kim have never had a romantic relationship.’

The insider stressed that Kim and Travis ‘were friends who met through Paris Hilton and that is also how Kourtney and Travis were introduced.’

Travis is currently romantically involved with Kim’s eldest sister Kourtney, 42, which Shanna voiced some obvious distaste for to Us Weekly.

‘He is dating [Kim’s] sister now, so I think that would be really weird,’ said Shanna, before stating that she ‘didn’t even know Kourtney existed’ at the time of her suspicions about Travis and Kim.

Although things appear to be going strong between Travis and Kourtney, Moakler insisted that she has ‘no desire’ to speak with the POOSH founder.

Moakler’s allegations about Travis and Kim come just days after her daughter Alabama, whom she shares with the drummer, put her on blast for being an ‘absent mom’ on Instagram. 

The 15-year-old took to Instagram to speak out after her mother Shanna made comments about Travis’ new relationship with Kourtney, including the claim that her marriage to the Blink-182 drummer ended when he had an affair with Kim.

Alabama shared what appeared to be a screenshot of a message from Shanna to someone unknown, and wrote in the caption: ‘Everybody thinks my mother is amazing, Matthew is nothing but awful to her not only that but he cheats on her.

Shanna has been dating model and actor Matthew Rondeau on and off in recent months.

He has been criticized for never posting photos of the mother-of-three on his social media while Shanna regularly documents their romantic escapades.

‘My mom has never completely been in my life, can you guys stop painting her out to be an amazing mom. Did your mom ask to see you on Mother’s Day cause mine didn’t? I’m done keeping a secret, reality shows.’ Alabama added.

In Shanna’s message, which appeared to be in response to an unknown Instagram user, the model said: ‘I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim! Now he’s in love with her sister…It’s all gross…I’m not the bad guy!’

She also claimed that Travis controls Alabama’s social media and that she ‘gets blamed for [Alabama’s] sexualization’.

‘How does a father allow her to act like that and do lives at 4am? With men twice her age…’ she wrote.

It’s not just Alabama but Shanna and Travis’ other child, son Landon, 17, who thinks Shanna could be more involved in her kids’ lives.

Responding to a TikTok commentator who implied that he and his sibling were siding with their father, Landon replied: ‘Actually, if you weren’t such a dumbass, you would realize our mom has never been in our lives and isn’t in our lives like our dad is.’

And Landon has also made it clear which of his parents’ relationships he supports.

On April 16, Landon called Shanna and Matthew the ‘most on and off relationship ever’ and told his mother, ‘You can do so much better.’ in comments under one of Shanna’s posts featuring her younger beau.

He then commented on a photo of Travis and girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian nearly two weeks later and called the couple’s romance ‘True love’ on April 28. 

Shanna and Travis were married from October 2004 to 2006 and once had their own reality show, Meet The Barkers, which documented their everyday life with their kids. Shanna also has 22-year-old daughter Atiana with ex partner Oscar De La Hoya.

Travis was known to briefly date Kim’s pal Paris Hilton after his divorce but Shanna’s claims he dated Kim remain unsubstantiated. 

In response to Alabama’s claims, Shanna was asked why her kids spend more time with their father in an Instagram Q&A. 

‘Because he lives behind two gates, has a mega mansion and is cooler than me.’ she replied. ‘LOL, we have shared custody but our kids are older. We are very close.’

It comes after Shanna spoke to People about Travis’ PDA with girlfriend Kourtney.

‘I’m very much over my ex,’ the actress, 46, told the site. ‘It’s been a long time. However, do I think some of the PDA that he’s doing with her is weird? [Yes].’ 

Not only that, but Shanna pointed out some similarities between Travis’ new romance with Kourtney and their former marriage.

‘The movie, True Romance, that I feel like they’ve been bonding over was the theme of our wedding. Our daughter’s named after the character in the movie. Flying banners overhead like we did on Meet the Barkers. Stuff like that… I just think it’s weird,’ Shanna told the site.

Travis got a True Romance inspired tattoo on his leg back in March, and the couple regularly quote the movie in their social media comments. More recently Travis had a plane fly a banner wishing Kourtney a happy birthday. 

‘My kids seem to really like her and her family, so that’s key,’ Shanna told People.
