Pressure on TLC to cancel shows after Josh Duggar child porn charges

Viewers are counting on TLC to cancel the Duggars’ show after Josh Duggar’s April 29 arrest for possessing child pornography.

A Change.org petition that calls for the network responsible for airing “Counting On” to cancel the reality show has been signed by nearly 7,000 as of Thursday. Viewers are demanding that TLC cancel the reality show and pull all Duggar family programming from its website and streaming platforms.

“The Duggar family should no longer have a platform,” the petition reads. “This family should no longer be allowed to collect money from streaming services and television series. Enough is enough. Too many people have been harmed.”

The backlash comes after Duggar, 33, pleaded not guilty in the child pornography case and was released from prison on bail.

TLC did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.

The eldest Duggar has not appeared on any TLC program since 2015 when fans learned that he had allegedly molested five minors — including four of his younger sisters — when he was a teen. He was never charged over those accusations.

The scandal rocked the network, forcing it to cancel the show, then called “19 Kids and Counting.” The series was then replaced by a spinoff, “Counting On.”

Since news of Josh’s arrest surfaced, fans have taken to social media asking the network to remove all Duggar programming that the infamously large family financially benefits from, many using the hashtag #BoycottTLC.

“The fact that @tlc is keeping @duggarfam on the air after Josh Duggar was charged with possessing 200 photos of CP is just HORRIFYING. #boycottTLC,” wrote one Twitter user.

On Wednesday, Duggar was granted bail and will be placed in the home of a third-party custodian — a family he knows through his church. The disgraced father of six will reportedly stay in a self-contained space on the custodian’s property, and will not be allowed to use the internet, drink, use drugs or handle guns. He is, however, allowed to see his children if his wife, Anna, is present, and he can leave the home for work and church.

Homeland Security revealed earlier this week that Duggar allegedly had at least 65 images of child porn and a video on his computer. A program that was supposed to alert his wife when he viewed X-rated material was also found. Some of the inappropriate and sick photos that were found were “in the top five of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever had to examine,” Homeland Security special agent Gerald Faulkner said during Duggar’s detention hearing in Arkansas.
