And Billie Lourd honored her late mother, Carrie Fisher, by dressing up her son Kingston in a Princess Leia braided hat to celebrate May 4, also known as National Star Wars Day.

The 28-year-old actress also showed off an image of her son wearing a onesie with her mom’s iconic character to commemorate the unofficial holiday which plays on the film’s classic line, ‘May the force be with you.’

Her son sprawled out across the bed and tuned into a clip from the classic films playing on her Apple laptop.

She simply captioned the shot with a host of emojis spelling out ‘May 4th.’ 

Star Wars Day gained popularity after the 1977 release of George Lucas’ first in the series of space sagas, Star Wars: A New Hope.

The line is also later echoed by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi to Anakin Skywalker before the Boonta Eve Classic, a phrase that’s also often used by Kenobi. 

‘The first official application of the phrase to the May 4th date came in 1979, when the U.K. Conservative Party paid for a newspaper advertisement saying, “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations!” to celebrate the party’s general election victory,’ according to USA Today.

During a question and answer session on Instagram earlier this year, a fan asked if Billie was prepping her son to be a Star Wars ‘geek’, which she gave a hearty ‘duhhh’ while showing off a ‘light side, dark side’ light switch.   

Fisher died on Dec. 27, 2016 just days after suffering cardiac arrest on a flight from London to Los Angeles at the age of 60. 

Though being in stable condition following the incident, she passed away from ‘sleep apnea and other undetermined factors,’ according to medical examiners who also found multiple drugs in her system including heroin and cocaine.
